The Vienna Institute of Finance (VIF) is a research institution in the field of mathematical finance, founded in 2007 by the University of Vienna (Uni) and the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (WU). The Institute is funded by the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF). Cooperating Viennese groups include: Department of Finance and Accounting at WU, Department of Statistics and Mathematics at WU, Department of Finance at Uni, Department of Mathematical Methods in Economics (FAM) at the Vienna University of Technology.
